PHS Lady Eagles hammer McKenzie

The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles took care of business on Thursday night as they blew past McKenzie for a 16-0 area win in McKenzie.

Pleasant Home wasted little time getting things rolling.

Tami Hilson doubled to start the game and then came around to score the first run when Sharea Coleman singled to center field.

Hope Gunter followed with a single to push across Gunter.

A few batters later, Natalie Schwartz doubled home Bella Worley.

In the pitcher’s circle, Ava Bailey retired the Lady Tigers in order with a pair of strikeouts and a ground out.

The Lady Eagles were swinging their bats with aggression and went up 13-0 heading into the bottom of the second inning.

Bailey picked up two more strikeouts in the bottom of the second.

In the top of the third inning, Bailey drove in a run on a fielder’s choice to go up 16-0.

Bailey struck out the first two batters in the bottom of the third inning before a two-out single ended her perfect game attempt.

She then struck out the final batter to pick up the win.
