Friday marks the last regular-season home game for both Andalusia and Straughn, and both band boosters at both schools are finishing ticket sales for their big money fundraisers, with drawings set for halftimes at this week’s games.

AHS Band Boosters are selling $50 tickets for three chances to win in a drawing for $3,000, $2,000 or $1,000. Tickets are available from Band Boosters until halftime Friday, or can be purchased from Brandi Long, who is coordinating the fundraiser. She can be reached at 488.2555.

AHS Band Boosters are raising money for the band’s trip to Universal studios, and to help purchase band equipment.

Straughn Band Booster Meagan Pinkard said a $20 ticket buys a ticket holder three chances to win in a drawing for $2,000, $1,000 or $500. The band’s goal is to sell 550 tickets.

Tickets will be available until halftime, and proceeds are used to fund trips, purchase instruments, and sponsor students to honor bands.

Friday night is also senior night at SHS.
