Update: Police search for robbery suspect, release description

Police are searching for the man who is believed to have robbed the Pepsi deliveryman pictured above. Details are still unknown; however, The Star-News will continue to monitor this story as it develops.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Police have released a description of the suspect in the armed robbery of a deliveryman Friday. Sgt. Jody Scott with the Andalusia Police Department said the suspect is a black male in his late 20s or early 30s with medium to dark skin. He is approximately 5’ 06’ tall and weighs between 160 to 180 pounds and was last seen wearing medium colored blue jeans, a dark blue hooded work jacket, and a light blue pull over shirt. Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to contact the APD at 334-222-1155.

Police are now in pursuit of an unidentified black male suspect who allegedly robbed a Pepsi deliveryman this morning in the Fred’s parking lot in Andalusia.

Officers and K-9 units are currently working the scene and searching areas near the shopping center.

Residents are asked to avoid the area, if possible. The Star-News will continue to monitor this story and update when details become available.
