One is injured and another detained for questioning as Covington County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting just outside of Opp.

Reports indicate the shooting took place around 4 p.m. in a trailer park located on Bond Lane near McDaniel Road – some three miles outside of Opp city limits. The identity and condition of the victim is unknown; however, Chief Deputy David Anderson told The Star-News that the shooting remains under investigation and more details will be released later this afternoon.
