Fall was in the air as members of the Inter Se Club gathered for their first meeting on Oct. 7.

The meeting was held in the Dixon Room of the Andalusia Public Library at 1:45 p.m.

President Lanette Goodyear called the meeting to order and welcomed guests, Kay Johnson and April Thrower.

The hostesses, Pat Strength and Jan Roach, were commended for the fall decorations and the delicious refreshments consisting of pound cake, chicken salad with crackers, cheese straws, nuts, candies, coffee and water.

Marilyn O’Neal introduced Todd Sasser, director of the Crossover Ministry, who gave a most informative and interesting program of how this faith based ministry began and how it has grown in the last 10 years.

When the facility opened in Opp in the old Rainer Funeral Home location there were twelve men and two staff.

Now there are nine full time employees, twenty five men and nine ladies who are receiving help in the program.

Great emphasis is placed on studying God’s word each day and then devotionals and classes take place.

The attendants have a six month discipleship class which teaches God’s word.

Sasser stated that he has seen families restored and children having two parents again after participation in the program.

There are many work projects going on with the men and women to make money to keep this program going along with financial help from the community and individuals.

At the conclusion of the program Todd was presented a check and a bountiful supply of items needed for their daily use.owing the program,
