Pleasant Home wins recent archery tournament in Opp

Pleasant Home won the Covington County Youth Archery tournament on Sun., April 11, at White Oak Archery in Opp.
In addition, Straughn finished in second place, the Rogue Team (shooters from Andalusia, Opp, CCA, Kinston and Brantley) finished in third place, Red Level finished in fourth place and Florala finished in fifth place.
Pleasant Home shot 608 points; Straughn ended the day 44 points behind Pleasant home with 564; Rogue Team finished with 522; Red Level finished with a 489; and Florala finished with a 432.
The top four shooters on Pleasant Home’s team were Michael Stone, Hunter Linzy, Austin Chesser and Brentin Fuller.
Stone led with 154 points; Linzy and Chesser had 152 points each; and Fuller had 150 points.
Straughn’s Jonathan Brown and Gill Morgan had 148 points each; Zach Brown had 138 points; and Brady Walker had 130 points.
Rogue Team’s Alicia Mummert and Johnston Parrish had 134 points each; Jordan Theus had 131 points; and Garrett Montgomery had 123 points.
Red Level’s Rebecca Turner had 134 points; Colt Eppes had 133 points; Nick Cox had 120 points; and Maecy Shipp had 102 points.
Florala’s Hunter Hughes had 118 points; Allen Phillips had 112 points; Jonathan Norris had 109 points; and Sam Christian had 93 points.
The next tournament will be held on Sun., April 25, at Hunter’s Walk in Red Level at 2 p.m.
